SELF-REPORTED TEST SCORES
The “Tests” section of the application allows you to self-report your scores from standarized tests you have taken or to report tests you plan on taking in the future. This section is not required to submit your CASPA application and does not affect your application’s status. However, please check with your PA programs before deciding whether or not to list your scores here. These scores can not be added in or updated after you e-submit your application.
Although self-reporting your scores in the “Tests” is not required by CASPA, some PA programs REQUIRE applicants self-report their GRE scores in this section, even if they submit their official GRE scores to CASPA or the school directly. Failure to self-report can lead to an automatic rejection from these particular PA programs. It is the applicant’s responsibility to research these requirements and comply with them. CASPA can NOT add these scores in for you if you neglect to do so.
OFFICIAL TOEFL SCORES
Official TOEFL Scores should be mailed to CASPA in paper format. They must be original copies of the test and sent to CASPA directly from ETS. CASPA can NOT accept photocopied, faxed, or electronic TOEFL scores. Please mail all official TOEFL scores to:

OFFICIAL GRE SCORES
Beginning this cycle, CASPA will accept official GRE Scores submitted electronically to CASPA using a special PA program-specific CASPA GRE code which is different than the school’s regular school code. Find your PA program on the CASPA GRE CODE LIST below. If your PA program is on this list, you should use the CASPA code displayed to send your official GRE scores to CASPA.
CASPA GRE CODE LIST (click to expand)
This list contains all CASPA programs who have signed up for a CASPA GRE code. If your PA program is not on this list, than you should contact them directly to determine how they would like you to report your GRE scores.

If Your PA Program Would Like You to Submit the GRE to CASPA:
1. Review the CASPA GRE CODE LIST chart below to determine your PA program’s CASPA ETS Code. Each program has its own code; if you are applying to multiple programs, you must supply each individual code to ETS. If you only provide one code, only that school will be able to view your GRE scores via CASPA.
2. Supply the code to ETS and request that your scores be released. According to ETS, it takes them about 10 business days (not counting weekends and holidays) to release a score to CASPA once they have been requested. If you have just taken the test, they report a turnaround of 10-15 business days.
3. Monitor your application to ensure your GRE scores post to your account. After the ETS 10 business day processing, test scores are sent to CASPA in batches and uploaded every 2-3 days. If your scores still hasn’t posted after the normal processing period, please contact CASPA customer service. Please note that only the scores you requested using CASPA codes will post to your CASPA application. If you used a CASPA code for some schools and a regular GRE code for others, only the CASPA code scores will display on your status menu.
If your NAME appears differently on your GRE than it does on CASPA your scores will NOT post automatically to your account. This most often happens with applicants who have punctuation in their names, as the GRE does NOT use hyphens, apostrophes, etc in their names. If your name is different on the test or contains punctuation, wait the 12-13 day processing time and call CASPA customer service. We can look up your name and manually connect your test score to your application.
IMPORTANT: Official GRE scores from ETS can be received by CASPA at any point during the application cycle, even after your application has been e-submitted, verified, or mailed. However, some programs may have a deadline by which they want your scores posted. Also, your unofficial self-reported GRE scores (see self-reported scores above) can NOT be added after you e-submit and must be entered in prior to submitting if your PA program requires you to list them.
OFFICIAL MCAT SCORES
Official MCAT scores can be attached to your CASPA application. Make sure that your date of birth and AAMC ID# are filled out properly on your application. You can find your AAMC ID# under “My Profile” on the left hand side of your application. You must then request to have your MCAT scores released to CASPA by contacting AAMC.
IMPORTANT: Once your MCAT scores are attached to your application, they can NOT be removed should you decide you no longer want your schools to view them. If you choose to re-apply using a re-applicant account, your MCAT scores will remain attached to your application. Please research PA admission guides and determine whether you would like your MCAT scores to be a part of your CASPA application BEFORE requesting them to be attached.
Q: The “Official Tests” section of my status menu says “No test scores received.” Will this delay my CASPA application?
A: NO. CASPA does not require tests scores to be received to process your application. This will not delay your application.
Q: Can I have my TOEFL scores sent to CASPA electronically?
A: No. CASPA cannot accept electronic scores from TOEFL.
Q: I haven’t taken the TOEFL yet. Will this delay my CASPA application?
A: No. CASPA does not hold applications awaiting your TOEFL scores. Once these scores are received, they will be forwarded to your schools. Please note that the programs to which you are applying may want these scores by a certain date. You should make sure these are received by any deadline provided by the PA programs themselves.
Q: I haven’t taken the GRE yet so I can’t fill out the GRE section of my application. What do I do?
A: The GRE section of the application is optional and does not affect the status of your CASPA application. PLEASE NOTE: some PA programs REQUIRE applicants report their GRE scores in this section. Failure to do so can lead to an automatic rejection from these particular programs. Please check with your PA programs before deciding whether or not to list your scores here. These scores can not be added in or updated after you e-submit your application.
Q: How can I see that my GRE scores have posted to my CASPA application?
A: When you log in to your application, click “Official Tests” in the status menu on the application. You will see a list of programs your GRE scores have posted to. Please note, this works ONLY for CASPA programs that have CASPA GRE codes. Any other scores that you may have sent to programs that do not have CASPA GRE codes will NOT be listed here. Applicants should confirm directly with programs that do not have CASPA GRE codes, if they received their official GRE scores.
Q: How do I know that ETS has sent my GRE scores to the institution(s) that I designated?
A: The best way for a student to verify that their scores have been sent is to log into their myGRE account at www.ets.org/mygre and view their scores and score reports that were processed. Applicants can also log in to their CASPA application account at https://portal.caspaonline.org, or the CASPA mobile application portal to check if official test scores have been received if they were sent to a program with a CASPA GRE code. Applicants should check that their name on their application matches their name entered in ETS.
Q: If a school participates in CASPA as well as other centralized application services (CAS), do I need a separate ETS code for CASPA?
A: Yes. Each CAS has separate codes for the same institution. You may request a separate code for each school or program within your university that participates in a CAS. Before doing so, ETS suggests that you contact each CAS directly to verify its score reporting processes.
Q: Whom should I contact if I have additional questions about my GRE scores?
A: If you have questions about GRE scores or score reporting, contact ETS at GREtests@ets.org or the Educators’ help Line at 609-683-2002. CASPA-related questions can be directed to CASPA customer service at email@example.com.
